6. SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of chronic mercury poisoning are typically from the nervous system, such as:
- abnormal fatigue (CFS),
- anxiety, restlessness, stress sensitivity,
- sleeping problems,
- lack of concentration / memory,
- reduced learning capacity,
- visual disturbances,
- cold hands and feet,
- headache,
- depression, dizziness
- muscle pains, joint pains,
- skin areas with abnormal sensitivity,
- shaking (tremors),
- digestive disturbances,
- chronic sinus infections,
- allergic problems, etc.
Many symptoms are very similar to symptoms for various neurological illnesses.
There is not a minimum level where mercury can be said to be non-toxic. (WHO 1991)
